BIOGRAPHY
Kristina Anusevičiūtė was born in Kaunas, Lithuania.
She started her musical education at the age of 6 with the violin and at the age of 17 with the viola.
In the period between 2015 and 2022 Kristina got her Bachelor’s and Master’s degree with professor
Petras Radzevičius at the Lithuania Academy of Music and Theatre.
The young violist has as well attended Masterclasses with Gidon Kremer, Pavel Berman, Johannes
Meissl, Herbert Kefer, Christoph Schiller, Barbara Luneburg, Thomas Riebl, Wolfgang Klos, Hartmut
Rohde and others.
In the time of 2016 – 2020 Kristina Anusevičiūtė was a member of the Grammy award winning
Kremerata Baltica, a chamber orchestra of musicians from the Baltic states led by the famous
violinist Gidon Kremer. Since 2017 to the 2020 season she was a principal violist in this orchestra.
While touring in some of the most prestigious halls such as Carnegie Hall in New York, the Vienna
Musikverein, the Royal Albert Hall in London, Suntory Hall in Tokyo, the Elbphilharmonie in
Hamburg, the Berlin Philharmonic, the Tonhalle Zürich, she has played with G. Kremer himself as
well as other famous artists, such as Mischa Maisky, Martha Argerich, Daniil Trifonov, Mirga
Gražinytė-Tyla, Tabea Zimermann, Khatia Buniatishvili, Sergei Nakariakov, M. W. Pletnev, Yulianna
Avdeeva, and others.
As a soloist Kristina Anusevičiūtė has performed with Kremerata Baltica chamber orchestra,
Lithuanian National Symphony Orchestra, Kaunas City Symphony Orchestra, Klaipėda Chamber
Orchestra.
She has also played with the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, The Karajan Academy Symphony
Orchestra, Lithuanian National Symphony Orchestra, the Gothenburg Symphony.
Since 2020 she is a member of The Vilnius String Quartet, which is a recipient of several prestigious
prizes, has been enjoying the reputation of one of the leading collectives in the cultural life of
Lithuania.
